Rajendra Shende reviewing the 'ozone friendly' facility that included solar air conditioning and air conditioning without the refrigerants

In May 2008 Rajendra Shende with colleagues from the Ministry of Envrionment, China, had the last review meeting and visited various facilities. The Review meeting was also attended by the Deputy Director General of the Ministry of Environment of China, Mr Wen Wurui, and by Mr Zhang Shigang, Coordinator UNEP Beijing. During the meeting a plan was prepared to outreach the success of BOCOG through various media and case studies:

solar energy is utilized in air conditioning of athletics village and cafeteria
vapour absorption system is employed to avoid use of refrigerants in vapour compression cycle.
