The annual UNEP DTIE Activities and Performance Report provides
an overview of our main activities and outputs during the past
year. Its content covers activities by DTIE branch / centre,
namely the Sustainable Consumption and Production Branch, Chemicals
Branch, Energy Branch, OzonAction Branch, Economics and Trade
Branch, and the International Environmental Technology Centre
(IETC). It also sets out our mission, strategy and organizational
structure.
Complementing the Activities and Performance Report is the
biennial UNEP DTIE Sustainability Report. Our sustainability
reporting system provides information about the sustainability
performance of internal operations, in other words about the
performance of the production process behind our public services.
Our sustainable development performance information and data
will be updated continually as we develop a more complete
reporting system covering the offices in Paris, Geneva, Osaka
and Shiga. Key areas of performance addressed in the 1st DTIE
sustainability report are the following:
- indirect economic impact (energy case study);
- official / mission travel by staff members and associated
GHG emissions;
- green meetings;
- environmentally-friendly offices: materials use and office
waste;
- training and career development; and
- diversity and human capital.
