Biography:
Emanuela Menichetti is Associate Programme Officer at the Energy Branch
of UNEP-DTIE in Paris. She works on the implementation of the Finance
Initiative within the Mediterranean Renewable Energy Programme (MEDREP).
The main focus of the MEDREP Finance Initiative is to help identify
and design suitable financing mechanisms for the promotion of sustainable
energy technologies in the Southern Mediterranean region.
Before joining UNEP, she worked for seven years as a researcher
and consultant at Ambiente Italia, a leading environmental policy
and analysis institute in Italy. Her main areas of expertise include:
Energy and Renewable Energy market studies, Energy and Climate Policy,
Life Cycle Assessment of materials and energy technologies, Environmental
and sustainability reporting.
Ms. Menichetti holds a Master of Science degree in Economics and
Business Administration and a post-graduate degree in Environmental
Economics.
