Jan Kappen

Biography:
Jan has joined the energy finance team in January 2005 and
currently works on a number of projects including carbon finance
and renewable energy funds in Africa and Southeast Asia .
Prior to UNEP, Jan worked in Corporate Finance at General Electric
(Financial Management Program), as Assistant to the CEO of a German
energy group, and most recently in power sector reform / -financing
at the World Bank.
He holds a masters degree in Industrial Engineering from Technische
Universitaet Berlin , a masters degree in International
Business Administration from École Supérieure de Commerce
de Paris - École Européenne des Affaires (ESCP -EAP),
and a masters degree in Public Administration/Int'l Affairs
from Columbia University (SIPA).
