Letter sent by UNEP DTIE OzonAction Programme to National Ozone Units Assists NOUs in organizing national activities to celebrate Ozone Day by providing examples of public awareness materials and ideas for a pledge programme (see below). This letter is complementary to other letters previously sent by the Ozone Secretariat.
Guidelines for NOUs for Administering a Voluntary Pledge Programme This was one of the enclosures of the above letter. As part of the celebrations of Ozone Day, UNEP's DTIE OzonAction Programme (Paris) and Ozone Secretariat (Nairobi) encourages National Ozone Units (NOU) to develop, initiate and publicize their own national ozone protection pledge programmes. The primary purpose of the pledge is to mobilize voluntary corporate activities to support the implementation of the Montreal Protocol in the private sector.
