23d Consultative meeting on Business & Industry - 2006

The 23d UNEP Consultative meeting on Business & Industry was held in Paris on 26 - 27 October 2006. Similar to the 1st World Industry Conference on Environmental Management in 1984, the meeting was co-hosted with the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC).

The 2006 meeting focused on industrial development and corporate responsibility (Report Cards), resource efficiency to address energy & climate, as well as supply chain management & capacity building. During the meeting, four clustered sector groups (extractive industries; water, energy & transport systems; manufacturing industry; services) with business and industry representatives and stakeholders held informal discussions following up on three thematic roundtables.
