UNEP DTIE contributed to the World Summit on Sustainable
Development with a number of mutually supportive initiatives.
DTIE facilitated the preparation of a series of sector reports,
whereby industry organizations took stock of progress towards
sustainable development, and outlined future challenges
and actions to be taken. At the Johannesburg Summit, it
organized side events and launched a number of partnership
initiatives.
